Pinnacles is one of the more famed sights in and around the Perth area. Located about 200kms north of Perth, it’s a fairly easy day trip from and city, and offers a unique natural wonder. The Pinnacles are rock formation that stick straight out of the surrounding sand. They cover several kilometers and it is best to drive through the park, as the heat of Australia can be unbearable. The nearest town is Cervantes. It’s a strange little town with a few stores and restaurants, but not much else. We stopped there to eat lunch by the ocean, and then continued to the park after eating.
