For two months I lived on Mt. Monger Station located approximately 60kms outside of Kalgoorlie. It was hard work out there, and I was lucky that on one of my last days, one of our bosses took us out around the station for a few hours. We saw wild emus, and this incredible salt lake. It stretched for miles and miles in the Outback. Far from a traditional take on lakes, but would you really expect to find a Baikal or a Superior in the middle of the Australian Outback?

It must have been nice to see the wild emus.
