Like everywhere else in Southeast Asia, there are digs roaming the streets and temples of Burma. This fellow seemed to be the main resident of one of the main temples in Mingun. A short day trip from Mandalay, Mingun is a pleasant little town about an hour’s boat ride from the jetty in Mandalay. Boats leave once in the morning to Mingun and return to the city in mid-afternoon.
